Our commitment
VendX is committed to making vendxusa.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
What we've built in
- A "skip to content" link for keyboard users.
- Visible focus states on interactive elements.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and labeled form fields.
- An accessible mobile menu with focus trapping and Escape-to-close support.
- An accessible FAQ accordion that communicates expanded/collapsed state to assistive technology.
- A list-based fallback for the interactive location map, so map information isn't only available visually.
- Support for
prefers-reduced-motionto reduce animation for users who request it. - Minimum 44px touch targets on interactive controls.
Known limitations
The interactive map is built on a third-party mapping library. While markers and popups include text alternatives and the location list provides an accessible alternative, some fine-grained map interactions may be easier with a mouse than with a keyboard or screen reader. We're continuing to improve this.
